We’re often asked by customers which are the best lighting solutions for exhibits or trade show displays. There are many options, ranging from the inexpensive to wildly costly, so we’ve narrowed down our favorite, most affordable picks. We think the best lighting solutions for portable exhibit walls must generally meet the following criteria:

  1. They must have or may use low voltage, LED bulbs.
  2. The must be easily moved, dismantled and be portable
  3. They must be rugged, highly rated or easily replaceable
  4. They must be affordable – preferably under $100

Least expensive and most convenient clamp on lighting

At $5.87 we had a hard time beating Mainstays LED Clip-On Lamp from Walmart.com This is the same clip on light we use for our own trade shows. It’s also generally available in stores as well as online.

What’s nice about this lighting choice is that it’s convenient and inexpensive. We highly recommend this if you’re on a tight trade show budget or just starting a new gallery and need to watch costs.

These lights are rugged LEDs light things up rather well. If they’recrushed in shipping or lost in between shows, there’s usually a Walmart nearby so you can easily find a replacement with little to no wait. The clamp works very well with ParetiMobile Walls top channel area, and the clamp is tight and stays put. This light is also available in silver and other colors.

The downside to this style is the bendable arm. It can be a problem getting all lights to look uniform.

We highly recommend this if you’re on a tight trade show budget or just starting a new gallery and need to watch costs. The downside to this style is both the charging limitations with USB. Power packs may be used for continueous charging, however. It can be a challenge getting all lights to look uniform due to bendable arm. Since this is advertised as a book light, brilliance may be an issue, however it’s portable and won’t require electricity when fully charged.
