The Knoxville Museum of Art – Portable Walls customer
We’re proud to include the Knoxville Museum of Art among some of our latest portable walls customers.
The KMA recently purchased Pareti Mobile Walls for temporary exhibits. Our portable wall system allows the museum to use its gorgeous, large, open meeting room for exhibits.
One of the challenges the museum faced was how to create free-standing exhibit spaces in a room surrounded by windows. Pareti’s free standing mobile wall configurations provided a way for the museum to create sturdy gallery spaces without requiring permanent structures, or anchoring to an existing wall. They allowed the museum to make the most of natural light, and created a great traffic flow conducive to a wonderful exhibit experience for patrons.
Our mobile walls are easy to assemble, affordable and adaptable. Once the exhibit is over the walls can be pulled apart and stored for later use – or reconfigured for different purposes.
“Thank you again for helping us create a beautiful space. Everyone loved the walls! They are easy to use, and make hanging art easy.”
– Mary Morris, Mary Morris Arts Management, Knoxville, Tennessee
Portable walls also allow the space to have a dual purpose – such as an exhibit on one side and meeting space on the other. Setting up the walls is an easy and fast process. In addition to very high quality construction, there’s a lot of common sense built into our walls! They are simple, rugged, and look great.
Since the walls are designed to be painted, it’s very easy to make them match your museum’s decor to blend in, or use custom colors to bring out the best for short-term exhibits. Vinyl wraps or vinyl lettering may also be used on the walls.
Many of our projects are shipped via common carrier, but on occasion it saves our customers money if we can make the delivery. With the Knoxville Museum of Art, Pareti’s delivery helped them to remain within their budget and on time.
The Knoxville Museum of Art features an incredible collection of modern and contemporary glass work, as well as a stunning Richard Jolley exhibit commissioned by the museum. Other permanent exhibits feature more amazing work by Tennessee artists. The Thorne Rooms were incredible to see as well. You will leave inspired! Here’s a link to KMA’s exhibits.
The Knoxville Art Museum is located in downtown Knoxville, within walking distance of Knoxville’s Market Square, another must-see.
